CFC Fantasy League

Imagine watching a live cricket match and constantly feeling the urge to make your own decisions - who should be selected, who should be the captain, who should be the opening batter and bowler, who should be the all-rounders etc.

Until now, a sports fan was a mere spectator and making these decisions looked like a far-fetched dream. But this dream has been made into a reality by the emergence of fantasy sports.

It is essentially an online sports game where individuals take up the role of a team owner/manager to draft an imaginary team composed of real players who are scheduled to play in live matches on a particular day. Users win or lose depending upon the points which are awarded on the basis of on-field performance of the players and scoring rules of the game.

The game can be played in multiple formats including but not limited to daily fantasy format and league-based format.

With this backdrop, we are delighted to announce the CFC Fantasy League.

The CFC Fantasy League debuted in 2025. Teams were built through a mock-auction. The first season was experimental with 7 teams locking horns against each other for the ultimate title. But the time season ended, it was clear that this has to find again and again. This was the start of a new chapter for Cricket Field Chronicles.

2026 - SEASON 2

The ideation and conceptualization of the second season began in January 2026. Beginning with, the idea was to have ten teams this year. Secondly and most importantly, it was important to bring transparency to point scoring.

The mock-auction was conducted on February 1, 2026, with 8 teams being a part of it. Our quest for a ten-team league shall continue. But with 8 passionate teams, we made sure the auction was bigger and better.
